Dick's Floor Covering, Streator, Illinois

Founded by Dick Mautz with the ambition of becoming one of the premiere flooring retailers and installers in the area. Dick’s Floor Covering is a proud family business that has served butte county and surrounding areas since 1964. During his time as owner Dick always prided himself on selling quality products along with quality installation at a fair price.

In the mid 80’s third generation Paradise boy and future owner Blaine White began working in the trade with his grandfather at the early age of eleven. His grandfather, Harry White, taught him the trade working at his own local flooring shop Carpet World.

Shortly after Blaine’s training was complete Harry decided it was in his, and Blaine’s, best interest to shut down Carpet World and began working excursively as installers for Dick. Having worked for Dick for over a decade, in 1999 Blaine got his own contractor’s license. In 2008, with Dick’s retirement, Blaine & his wife Jennifer took the reins of the business to keep providing quality flooring service to our community for years to come.
