Hager Cabinets, Richmond, Kentucky

Hager Cabinets began its story in 1967. Bob and Oberita Hager left West Virginia to make a home in Richmond Kentucky when Oberita accepted a doctoral position at Eastern Kentucky University. Bob, using skills he had learned from his father, began building a home for the two of them to live in. People in the area took notice including a professor at Eastern and the Dean of the college. They both requested that Bob build homes for them which led to his building business Bob Hager Builders LLC.

Due to immediate success Bob took on adding other services to his business such as cabinetry. In 1969 as the business continued to grow Bob and Oberita opened a warehouse and showroom on Irvine Street in Downtown Richmond naming it Hager Cabinets. Four years later they grew out of the location because their inventory had expanded to include building materials, countertops, brick, windows, doors, and lumber. Therefore in 1973 they moved to their current location 474 Eastern Bypass behind Big Lots and the business continues to grow and flourish today due to great products and exceptional customer service. Over 45 years later Hager Cabinets is still where you get the best value for your money.
