Roma Tile & Marble’s history begins in 1958, when Vito Romagno, an Italian immigrant, made his way to Central New York with nothing but a dream to create a good life for himself, his family, and the future generations to come. So in 1969, Vito founded Roma Tile & Marble, which soon became the most predominant commercial tile contractor in Syracuse. When in 1982 he decided to open a retail showroom, his son, Nick, joined the family business, followed by his brother, Victor, and sister, Sera. In 1989, land was purchased at the corner of Park and Wolf Street in Syracuse, where the company has been ever since. However, what was once a small showroom has expanded to over 50,000 square feet of retail and manufacturing space, spanning the entire city block.
